The Philadelphia 76ers have a rich history of selecting talented players in the NBA draft. In this edition, we take a look at the 2013 draft, where the Sixers continued to rebuild their team. After trading away All-Star Jrue Holiday to the New Orleans Pelicans on draft night, the Sixers acquired the No. 6 pick and brought in Nerlens Noel and Michael Carter-Williams. Shortly before the 2013-14 season, the Sixers added another rookie, Hollis Thompson, who went undrafted out of Georgetown. Thompson averaged 6.0 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 40.1% from deep as a rookie. He spent 3.5 seasons in Philadelphia, averaging 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds during that time before being waived in 2017. After being waived, Thompson signed a 10-day deal with the Pelicans and averaged 3.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in nine games with eight starts. Those games in New Orleans were the final ones of his career.
