Philadelphia 76ers Players Make Appearance at Philadelphia Union's Match

The Philadelphia 76ers are gearing up for the new NBA season, which will bring an end to a hectic offseason. In less than two months, the team will be back at the forefront of the sporting world. On Wednesday night, two members of the Philadelphia 76ers, Justin Edwards and Dominick Barlow, were spotted taking in the action at the Philadelphia Union's match against Inter Miami.

Edwards and Barlow Strike the Iconic Drum

The pair were seen pregame partaking in the team's pregame striking of the drum to get the energy around Subaru Park going. Edwards, a Philadelphia native, was seen donning the Union's recent City edition kit that honors the colors of the city's other sports teams on the collar. Barlow, on the other hand, was spotted in an Oasis kit.

A Tradition for the Philadelphia 76ers

This is not the first time that members of the Philadelphia 76ers have participated in the pregame ceremony. In May, Adem Bona got his chance at the pregame honor. Prior to that, the likes of Tyrese Maxey, Cameron Payne, Guerschon Yabusele, Andre Drummond, and Paul Reed have all partaken in the honor.

A New Season Awaits

The pair are set to have quite the season as they'll begin to share the court with the likes of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James in the campaign to come. It will also provide Barlow with more opportunities to build on his chain of stellar performances last season, while Edwards will look to bounce back off of what was a rather lackluster campaign. The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a recent loss to the New York Knicks, with their last result being 114-144 on May 10, 2026. They have lost their last five games, with a recent form of 0W-0D-5L (LLLLL, most recent first).
